Removing
Unscrew the oil filter with a wrench (special tool: KV10115801) (see fig.).
Attention:
- The oil filter is equipped with a bypass valve. Use genuine NISSAN oil filter or equivalent.
- Do not burn yourself on hot engine and engine oil.
- Before unscrewing, stock up on a napkin and collect spilled oil.
- Avoid getting engine oil on the drive belts.
- Wipe off any oil that has come into contact with the engine and vehicle.
Installation
1. Remove foreign particles from the seating surface under the oil filter.
2. Apply engine oil around the seal circumference of the new oil filter.
Caution: Use genuine NISSAN oil filter or equivalent.
3. Screw in the oil filter by hand until it touches the seating surface, then tighten 2/3 of a turn. Or tighten to the required torque.
Oil filter: 17.7 Nm (1.8 kg m)
Check after installation
1. Check the oil level. See section «Oil level and contamination».
2. Warm up the engine and check for oil leaks.
3. Stop the engine and wait 10 minutes.
4. Check the oil level. See section «Oil level and contamination».
