Turbocharger (diesel models)

Lubrication and cooling of the rotating parts of the turbocharger is carried out by engine oil. The turbocharger rotor rotates at an extremely high speed, the turbocharger parts are heated to a high temperature. It is important to maintain a constant supply of oil to the turbine. Oil starvation of the turbine will lead to its failure.

To ensure normal and continuous operation of the turbocharger, the following rules must be observed:

• The oil change in turbocharged diesel engines must be carried out at the strictly prescribed time.
• Use only the recommended grade of engine oil. See section «Technical information».
• If the engine has been running at high speeds or with a heavy load for a long time, then before turning it off, it is necessary that it work for a while in idling mode.
• Do not develop high revolutions immediately after starting the engine.
