CR14DE and HR16DE engines
1. Set the temperature control of the heater or air conditioner to the maximum heating position (NOT).
2. Open the hood.
3. To make it easier to drain the coolant, remove the cover ① (if available) from the radiator neck or expansion tank cap.
4. Loosen the clamp ② of fixing the lower radiator pipe ③ and remove the pipe to drain the coolant.

4. Flush the cooling system with clean running water through the radiator filler neck (if available) or through the expansion tank.
5. Reinstall the lower radiator hose and secure with a clamp.
6. Slowly pour into the radiator (with filling hole) coolant of the recommended composition Fill the coolant into the expansion tank up to the mark «MAX». The filling capacity of the engine cooling system is given in the section «Technical information».
7. Replace the radiator cap (if available) or expansion tank cap.
8. Start the engine and warm it up until the radiator cooling fan turns on. Then, at idle, speed up the engine speed two or three times. Check the warning lamp for signs of engine overheating.
9. Stop the engine. After the engine has cooled, add coolant to the radiator and bring the level to the bottom of the filler neck (if available). If the liquid level has dropped, then add liquid to the expansion tank to the mark «MAX».
10. Check for coolant leakage from the lower radiator hose connection.
11. Close the hood.
