Brush cleaning
If the windshield remains opaque after the washer is turned on, or the wiper blades rattle during operation, the cause may be contamination of the windshield or the wipers themselves with wax-like or other substances.
Wash the outside of the windshield with washer fluid or a neutral detergent. If the windshield is clean, then when rinsing with clean water, no drops will form on it.
Wipe the wiper blades with a cloth soaked in washer fluid or neutral detergent. Then rinse the brushes with clean water. If after that the quality of cleaning the windshield with a wiper remains unsatisfactory, replace the brushes.
