1. Stop the vehicle on a level and dry place and apply the parking brake.
2. Remove the driver's airbag module from the steering wheel.
3. Start the engine and check the steering torque with a preload gauge (special tool).
Steering torque: 5.9 Nm (0.60 kg m) or less.
4. If the moment differs from norm, check up a steering column and the steering mechanism. If there are abnormalities, replace.
