2. Depress the foot brake pedal at least 10 times and adjust the clearance in the rear wheel chocks.
Note: Depress the foot brake pedal as far as it will go.
3. Check if the brakes stick by turning the rear wheels.
4. Adjust cable as shown below.
- A. Tighten the lever so that the long head can be inserted.
- b. Insert the long head into the opening of the lever and adjust the tightening force of the lever by turning the adjusting nut.
Note: Do not reuse the adjusting nut.
- With. Check the number of clicks by tightening the lever about 10 times to 196 N (20 kg).
- d. Check to see if the rear wheel brakes stick when the lever is fully released.
5. Check to see if the brake warning light in the instrument cluster comes on when the parking brake is applied 1 click or less and goes out when the lever is released.
6. Check that the ratchet engages and disengages securely and freely.
7. Check if the initial lever play is more than 20 mm at the end of the release button and check that the operating force on the release button is 4.9 N (0.50 kg) at full stroke.
