Removing
1. Disconnect the connector from the actuator and the ABS control unit.
2. Loosen the union nuts of the brake pipes, then disconnect the brake pipes from the actuator and the ABS control unit.
3. Turn off fixing nuts of the executive mechanism and the block of management ABS.
4. Remove the actuator and ABS control unit from the vehicle.
Attention:
- When removing the actuator and ABS control unit, pay attention to the following:
- If the unit part number on the label (glued on top of the actuator) the same actuator and ABS control unit cannot be installed on another vehicle.
- If you install it on another car, the warning lamp may light up «ABS», indicators «ESPC OFF» And «SLIP» or malfunctions occur in the operation of the ESP / TCS / ABS control units.
- When replacing the ABS actuator and control unit, install new components.
- Disconnect the cables from the battery before servicing.
- In order not to damage the union nuts and the brake pipe, unscrew them with a ring wrench. When installing, tighten them to the correct torque using a torque wrench (suitable tool).
- Do not strike the ABS actuator and control unit, eg drop it.
- Do not grasp the electrical wiring when removing and installing the actuator.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Attention:
- When installing the ABS actuator and control unit, pay attention to the following:
- Tighten mounting bolts and nuts to the required torque.
- Upon completion of work, release the air from the brake pipes.
- After connecting the wiring connector to the actuator, make sure that the connector is securely fixed.
