Repair procedure
1. Clean the broken heater wire and surrounding area with a cloth soaked in alcohol.
2. Dip the tip of the drawing pen in electrically conductive silver paint.
Shake the bottle of silver paint before applying.
3. Attach a ruler to the glass along the cliff. Apply electrically conductive silver paint to the break with a drawing pen. Lightly overlap the existing heater wire on both sides of the break (by 5 mm).
4. Upon completion of the repair, check the conductivity of the wire. The test should be carried out 10 minutes after applying the silver paint (see fig.)
Caution: Do not touch the repaired area while testing.
5. Blow the repaired area with a continuous stream of hot air from a fan heater for about 20 minutes. The distance between the repaired area and the fan heater nozzle must be at least 3 cm. If a fan heater is not available, allow the repaired area to dry for 24 hours.
