Caution: If the hood latch cable is bent or deformed, replace it.
1. Make sure that the secondary latch of the hood lock securely engages with the loop of the secondary latch when the hood is released from a height of about 200 mm.
2. While lightly pulling on the hood release lever, check that the front edge of the hood has risen approximately 20 mm. Also make sure the hood opener returns to its original position.
3. Make sure there is enough grease on the hood latch. If necessary, apply grease to the points indicated in the figure.
