Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the rear drive shafts. See chapter «Rear axle and suspension».
2. Remove the axle shaft seals using a flathead screwdriver.
Attention. Be careful not to damage the differential housing and rear cover.
Installation
1. Press in the axle shaft seals using a drift (A) (special tool: KV38100200) so that they are flush with the end surface of the crankcase.
Attention:
- Do not reuse axle shaft seals.
- When pressing, do not allow the seals to become distorted.
- Apply multi-purpose grease to the seal lips and into the transmission oil around the seal circumference.
2. Install the rear drive shafts. See chapter «Rear axle and suspension».
3. If there was any oil leakage during removal, check the oil level after installation. See above.
