Gear oil
2WD models
Drain
1. Start the engine and warm up the gearbox.
2. Stop the engine. Remove the drain plug and drain the transmission oil.
3. Place a new gasket on the drain plug and screw it into the clutch housing. Tighten to the required torque.
Attention. Do not reuse the gasket.
Refueling
1. Remove the plug (1). Pour fresh transmission oil into the gearbox.
Oil grade and viscosity: See chapter «Maintenance».
Oil filling capacity (standard): See paragraph below. «Technical data and specifications».
2. After refueling, check the oil level. See below.
A. Suitable dipstick.
3. Place a new O-ring on the drain plug and screw it into the clutch housing.
Attention. Do not reuse the O-ring.
4. Tighten the plug mounting bolt to the required torque.
Leak check
Make sure there are no oil leaks from the manual transmission and surrounding areas.
Level check
1. Remove the plug (1).
2. Measure the oil level using a suitable dipstick (A), as shown in the figure and make sure it is within the normal range.
Oil level «L»: See paragraph below. «Technical data and specifications».
Attention:
- Do not start the engine while checking the oil level.
- Measure the oil level using a suitable dipstick through the hole under the filler plug.
3. Place a new O-ring on the filler plug and screw it into the transmission housing.
Attention. Do not reuse the O-ring.
4. Tighten the plug mounting bolt to the required torque.
4WD models
Drain
1. Start the engine and warm up the gearbox.
2. Stop the engine. Remove the drain plug and drain the transmission oil.
3. Place a new gasket in the drain plug and screw it into the clutch housing. Tighten to the required torque.
Attention. Do not reuse the gasket.
Refueling
1. Remove the plug (1) from the filler hole. Pour fresh transmission oil into the gearbox.
A. Suitable probe; In front of the car.
Oil grade and viscosity: See chapter «Maintenance».
Oil filling capacity (standard): See paragraph below. «Technical data and specifications».
2. After refueling, check the oil level. See below.
3. Place a new gasket on the filler plug and screw it into the transmission housing.
Attention. Do not reuse the gasket.
4. Tighten the filler plug to the required torque.
