Clutch master cylinder 1. Tank assembly; 2. Hose; 3. Clutch master cylinder assembly.
Removal and installation
Removal
Attention:
- Do not spray clutch fluid onto painted surfaces. If liquid is spilled, wipe it up immediately and rinse the area with water.
- Do not disassemble the master cylinder.
1. Remove the air cleaner housing and air duct (inlet) or air ducts See chapter «Mechanical part of the engine».
2. Drain the clutch fluid from the reservoir and disconnect the hose.
3. Disconnect the master cylinder rod end from the clutch pedal.
4. Remove the locking pin (1) from the coupling (2) master cylinder and separate the clutch tube (3).
5. Rotate the master cylinder assembly 45°clockwise and remove from the vehicle.
Installation
Attention. Do not spill clutch fluid on painted surfaces. If liquid is spilled, wipe it up immediately and rinse the area with water.
1. Tilt the master cylinder clockwise 45°and insert into the mounting hole. Turn it counterclockwise and lock it. In this case, the pipe should be facing upward.
2. Connect the master cylinder rod end to the clutch pedal assembly.
3. Connect the hose to the reservoir and master cylinder assembly.
Attention. Place the hose with the paint mark facing up.
4. Insert clutch tube (7) into the coupling (2) master cylinder until it stops.
5. Insert the locking pin (3) into the coupling (2) master cylinder until it stops.
6. Refill with fresh clutch fluid as follows:
A. Refill the reservoir with fresh clutch fluid.
b. Connect the clear vinyl hose to the bleeder fitting on the coupling.
With. Press down on the locking pin (1) coupling (2).
d. Slide the clutch tube (1) in the direction shown by the arrow in the figure.
Size «A»: 10 mm
e. Slowly press the clutch pedal to the floor and release it. Repeat the procedure until fresh clutch fluid begins to flow out.
Attention:
- Hold down the clutch pedal to prevent the tube from moving away from the coupling when applying pressure to the tube.
- Monitor the fluid level in the reservoir and do not allow it to empty.
f. Return the clutch tube and locking pin to their original position with the clutch pedal depressed.
g. Bleed the air from the clutch hydraulic drive. See above.
7. After completing this procedure, check the clutch pedal. See above.
8. Install the air cleaner housing and air duct (inlet) or air ducts. See chapter «Mechanical part of the engine».
