Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the mudguard. See chapter «Interior and exterior equipment».
2. Unscrew the oil filter using a wrench (special tool: KV10115801) (A)
Attention:
- The oil filter is equipped with a bypass valve. Use a genuine NISSAN oil filter or equivalent.
- Avoid getting burned by hot engine and engine oil.
- Before unscrewing, stock up on a napkin and collect spilled oil.
- Do not allow engine oil to come into contact with the drive belt.
- Completely wipe off any oil that gets on the engine and vehicle.
Installation
1. Remove foreign particles from the seating surface under the oil filter.
2. Apply fresh engine oil to the circumference of the new oil filter seal.
3. Screw in the oil filter by hand until it touches the seating surface, then tighten it 2/3 of a turn. Or tighten to the required torque.

17.6 Nm (1.8 kg-m)
Check after installation
1. Check the oil level. See above.
2. Start the engine and check for engine oil leaks.
3. Stop the engine and wait 10 minutes.
4. Check the oil level and adjust it to normal. See above.
