Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the cover from the engine.
2. Remove the oil dipstick.
Attention. To prevent foreign particles from entering, plug the oil dipstick guide hole.
3. Disconnect the PCV hose from the intake manifold and valve cover.
4. Disconnect the air duct and resonator assembly. See above.
5. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold. See above.
6. Disconnect the water hoses from the electric throttle valve and install plugs to prevent coolant leakage.
Attention. Perform this operation when the engine is columnar.
- Do not allow engine coolant to come into contact with the drive belt.
7. Remove the electric throttle valve.
Attention:
- Handle the electric drive with care and avoid shock.
- Do not disassemble the throttle valve wiring.
8. Remove the intake manifold (1) as follows.
A. Loosen and unscrew the mounting bolts (A) And (IN) intake manifold.
b. Loosen the mounting bolts in the reverse order shown in the illustration.
Attention. To prevent foreign particles from entering, seal the openings in the engine.
9. If necessary, remove the brackets from the intake manifold.
10. If necessary, remove the EVAP charcoal filter purge solenoid valve from the intake manifold.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Intake manifold
1. Check whether the gasket has fallen out of the installation groove of the intake manifold.
2. Install the intake manifold as follows:
a. Tighten the bolts in the order indicated by the numbers in the illustration.
b. Retighten the #1 mounting bolt.
With. Tighten the mounting bolt (A) intake manifold, then the mounting bolt (IN).
1. Intake manifold.
Electric throttle valve
- Tighten the bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern in several passes.
- When disconnecting the connector from the electric throttle valve in case of repair, carry out «Closed throttle teaching». See chapter "Engine management system".
- B When replacing the electric throttle actuator in case of repair, carry out «Closed throttle teaching» and «Learning to supply air at speed x x.». See chapter "Engine management system".
