Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the air duct (inlet).
2. Remove the engine cover. See below.
3. Disconnect the connector from the air mass sensor.
4. Disconnect the PCV hose.
5. Remove the battery stand and slide the battery out.
6. Remove the air cleaner housing and mass air flow sensor assembly and the air duct and resonator assembly, separating them at the junction.
- If necessary, apply marks to facilitate subsequent installation.
7. If necessary, remove the air mass sensor from the air cleaner housing.
Attention:
- Do not hit the air mass flow sensor.
- Do not disassemble the air mass flow sensor.
- Do not touch the sensor sensing element.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Align the marks. Connect the joints. Tighten the clamps securely.
Check after removal
- Check the duct and resonator assembly for cracks or wear.
- If any abnormality is detected, replace the air duct and resonator assembly.
