Attention:
- Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. High pressure coolant splashing out of the radiator can cause serious burns.
- Wrap the lid with a thick cloth. Slowly unscrew the cap a quarter turn and release the pressure. Then unscrew the cap all the way.
1. Remove the engine protection from the bottom.
2. Remove the plug (1) from the drain hole at the bottom of the radiator and remove the radiator cap.
Perform this operation when the engine is cold.
- When draining coolant from the system, remove the drain plugs from the drain holes in the cylinder block. See chapter "Lubrication system and fluid cooling system".
3. If necessary, remove the tank, drain the coolant and clean the tank before installation.
- It is necessary to remove the insulator of the right engine mount. See chapter "Mechanical part of the engine".
- Slide the tank (3) and remove it in the order according to the numbers in the picture.
4. Check the drained coolant for contaminants such as rust, corrosion or discoloration. If there are traces of contamination, flush the engine cooling system. See below.
