Attention: Carry out the test with the engine not running.
- Make sure the pointer (notch on the fixed part) on the automatic drive belt tensioner is within the range of possible operation (A) in the picture.
Note:
- Check the location of the automatic tensioner indicator on a cold engine.
- When installing a new drive belt, the indicator (notching in the fixed part) must be within range (IN) in the picture.
- Visually inspect the entire belt to ensure there is no wear, damage or cracks.
- If the pointer (notching in the fixed part) is outside the permissible operating range or the belt is damaged, replace the drive belt.
