Removal
Unscrew the oil filter using a wrench (special tool KV10115801) (A).
1. Oil pan; Front of the engine.
Attention:
- The oil filter is equipped with a bypass valve. Use a genuine NISSAN oil filter or equivalent.
- Avoid getting burned by hot engine and engine oil.
- Before unscrewing, stock up on a napkin and collect spilled oil.
- Completely wipe off any oil that gets on the engine and vehicle.
Installation
1. Remove foreign particles from the seating surface under the oil filter.
2. Apply fresh engine oil to the seal circumference of the new oil filter.
3. Screw in the oil filter by hand until it touches the seating surface, then tighten it 2/3 of a turn. Or tighten to the required torque.
Oil filter:
: 17.7 Nm (1.8 kg m).
Check after installation
1. Check the oil level. See chapter "Engine lubrication and cooling system".
2. Start the engine and check for engine oil leaks.
3. Stop the engine and wait 10 minutes.
4. Check the oil level and adjust it to normal. See chapter "Engine lubrication and cooling system".
