Windshield wiper blades
Cleaning
If the washer and wiper do not effectively clean the windshield or the wiper blades rattle when operating, the cause may be that the windshield or the blades themselves are contaminated with wax-like or other substances.
Wash the outer surface of the windshield with washer fluid or neutral detergent. If the windshield is clean, then when rinsing with water, drops will not form on it.
Wipe the windshield wiper blades with a cloth soaked in a solution of washer fluid or neutral detergent. Then rinse the brushes with clean water. If after this the quality of cleaning the windshield with the windshield wiper remains unsatisfactory, replace the blades.
Windshield washer nozzles
When treating the hood with protective mastic, make sure that it does not get on the washer nozzles. This may lead to clogged nozzles or poor windshield washer performance. If wax gets into the nozzle, remove it with a small pin (IN).
Replacement
1. Raise the windshield wiper arm. When raising the windshield wiper arms, lift the driver's side arm first, then the passenger's side. Otherwise, you may scratch or damage the windshield wiper blade.
2. Press and hold the latch (1). After this, remove the windshield wiper blade.
3. Install the new windshield wiper blade in reverse order.
4. Lower the windshield wiper lever to its original position.
