Manual mode
- The headlight range control only works when the ignition is on (ignition key ON position) and headlights on. It is designed to adjust the direction of the headlights according to driving conditions.
- If the vehicle is not carrying a heavy load or the vehicle is moving on a level road, set the adjustment control to the position.
- If the number of passengers and cargo/luggage in the vehicle changes, the direction of the headlight beams may become higher than normal.
- In this case, the headlights may have a blinding effect on oncoming drivers (especially when driving on hilly terrain).
- To ensure the correct direction of the headlights, turn the control to the appropriate position (see table below). The higher the number on the regulator scale, the lower the headlight beam will be directed.
Regulator position | Number of front seat passengers | Number of rear seat passengers | Weight of cargo in the luggage compartment |
0 | 1 or 2 | No passengers | No load |
1 | 1 or 2 | 3 | No load |
2 | 1 or 2 | 3 | Full load |
3 | 1 | No passengers | Full load |
Automatic corrector
On vehicles equipped with such a corrector, the headlight level is adjusted automatically.
