1. Make sure the steering gear assembly, steering column and steering wheel are installed correctly.
2. Perform a neutral position check after checking the front wheel alignment. See chapter «Front axle and suspension».
3. Turn the steering wheel to the straight ahead position and make sure it is in the neutral position.
4. If the steering wheel does not adjust to the neutral position, loosen the outer tie rod end locknuts and make adjustments by rotating the inner tie rod ends in opposite directions until the left and right distances are the same.
