Removal
1. Remove the wheels from the vehicle.
2. Support the suspension arm with a suitable jack and remove the load from the spring.
3. Remove the automatic headlight leveling control unit (on models with xenon headlights). See chapter «Driver-controlled instruments».
4. Remove the stabilizer connecting rod.
5. Remove the control rod from the suspension arm.
6. Remove the control rod from the suspension beam.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Perform final tightening of all bolts and nuts in the rear suspension beam and axle housing mounting position (rubber-metal bushing) in an unloaded state, when the car has its wheels on the ground.
Check after removal
Check the control rod and bushing for deformation, cracks or damage. Replace if necessary.
Check after installation
1. Check the rear wheel alignment angles. See above.
2. Adjust the neutral position of the steering angle sensor. See chapter «Brake system».
