Removal
1. Remove the wheels from the vehicle.
2. Drain the brake fluid. See chapter «Brake system».
3. Remove the mounting bolts from the caliper bracket. Hang the caliper bracket so that it does not interfere with your work. See chapter «Brake system».
4. Remove the brake disc. See chapter «Brake system».
5. Remove the wheel sensor from the axle housing and control rod and disconnect the electrical wiring. See chapter «Brake system».
6. Remove the parking brake cable mounting bolt. See chapter «Brake system».
7. Disconnect the brake pipe from the brake hose and remove the lock plate. See chapter «Brake system».
8. Remove the stabilizer connecting rod.
9. Remove the automatic headlight leveling control unit (on models with xenon headlights). See chapter «Driver-controlled instruments».
10. Support the suspension arm with a suitable jack and remove the load from the spring.
11. Remove the spring from the suspension arm.
12. Remove the suspension arm and arm stop from the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- After installation, bleed the brake system. See chapter «Brake system».
- Perform final tightening of all bolts and nuts in the rear suspension beam mounting position (rubber bushing) in an unloaded state, when the car has its wheels on the ground.
Check after removal
Visual inspection
Check the suspension arm and bushing for deformation, cracks or damage. Replace if necessary.
Check after installation
1. Adjust the parking brake (stroke length). See chapter «Brake system».
2. Check the rear wheel alignment angles. See above.
3. Adjust the neutral position of the steering angle sensor. See chapter «Brake system».
