Removal
1. Remove the wheels from the vehicle.
2. Remove the mounting bolts from the caliper bracket. Hang the caliper bracket so that it does not interfere with your work. See chapter «Brake system».
Attention. Do not press the brake pedal after removing the brake caliper.
3. Remove the wheel sensor from the axle housing. See chapter «Brake system».
4. Support the suspension arm with a suitable jack.
5. Remove the shock absorber from the suspension arm.
6. Remove the control rod from the suspension arm.
7. Remove the wishbone from the control arm.
8. Remove the drive shaft (on 4WD models). See above.
9. Remove the spring from the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Align the protrusions of the lower rubber socket with the grooves of the suspension arm and connect them.
Attention. The protrusions of the lower rubber socket must be securely fixed in the holes of the suspension arm.
- Install the spring, aligning the bottom of the larger diameter side with the recess between the lower rubber socket and the suspension arm.
Attention. Install the spring so that its lower end fits into the fixing recess in the lower rubber socket.
- Perform final tightening of all bolts and nuts in the rear suspension beam and axle housing mounting position (rubber bushing) in an unloaded state, when the car is with its wheels on the ground.
Check after removal
Check for deformation, cracks or damage on the control rod bushing and spring. Replace if necessary.
Check after installation
1. Check the rear wheel alignment angles. See above.
2. Adjust the neutral position of the steering angle sensor. See chapter «Brake system».
