Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the lower section of the driver's side instrument panel. See chapter «Interior and exterior equipment».
2. Remove the air duct at foot level.
3. Remove the blower mode damper motor.
4. Disconnect the connectors from the brake light switch and/or cruise control brake switch.
5. Disconnect the connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor.
6. Remove the steering block beam strut.
7. Remove the cotter pin and pin from the brake booster pressure rod shackle.
8. Remove the brake pedal assembly and accelerator pedal.
9. Remove the accelerator pedal from the brake pedal assembly. See chapter «Accelerator, fuel system and exhaust system».
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Apply multi-purpose grease to the earring pin and contact surfaces. (Not required if lubricant is already applied).
Note. The earring finger can be placed in any direction.
