1. Guided by Chapter 5 from this Section, connect a piece of tube to the bleeder fitting of the slave cylinder, unscrew (one turn) bleeder valve and press the clutch pedal several times until all fluid comes out of the system.
2. From inside the car, unscrew the four screws and remove the bottom panel under the steering column.
3. Remove the retaining spring bracket, then remove the pin securing the master cylinder pushrod to the clutch pedal.
4. In the engine compartment, unscrew the nut and disconnect the hydraulic pipe; Wipe up any spilled liquid with a rag.
5. Unscrew the two mounting nuts and remove the master cylinder from the bulkhead.
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Apply a thin coat of multi-purpose grease to the pushrod pin. Once the master cylinder is securely attached to the bulkhead and the pushrod is connected to the pedal, check the pedal height (see Chapter 2).
7. Connect the hydraulic pipe to the master cylinder, carefully tighten the connecting nut. Fill the reservoir with new hydraulic fluid of the specified type, unscrew (one turn) bleeder nipple, press the clutch pedal several times until fluid flows from the bleeder nipple into the tube. Bleed the system as described in Chapter 5 from this Section.
8. Guided by Chapter 2 from this Section, check the free play of the clutch pedal, adjust it if necessary.
