Differential side seals
1. Drain the transmission fluid and remove the drive shaft (shafts) and fender liner (wheel arch liners), as described in Section 8.
2. Remove the oil seal, being careful not to damage the socket. If it is difficult to remove, you can use an extractor as shown in Fig. 7.15.

3. Dip the new oil seal in clean transmission fluid, then seat it in the socket.
4. Before installing the drive shaft, check the oil seal friction surface. It may be possible to polish it with fine sandpaper,
5. Clean and lubricate the drive shaft to protect the seal lips during installation. See Section 8.
6. Fill the transmission with fluid as described above

7. Remove the gear from the car, remove the transformer, do not spill liquid from the transformer.
8. Remove the oil seal.
9. Dip the new oil seal in clean transmission fluid, then seat it in place (Pic. 7.16).

10. Install the transformer, then install the gearbox on the vehicle.
