1. Apply the handbrake, check that the ignition is turned off and select the 'N' position.
2. Disconnect the switch wiring, unscrew the three switch mounting screws, then remove the switch. Plug the hole with a clean rag.
3. When installing, place the switch on the transmission, lightly tighten the mounting screws, then use a metal rod to install the switch as described in Chapter 10 of this Section, and connect the wiring to the main braid.
4. Wipe up any spilled fluid and top up the transmission, if necessary, as described in Chapter 3 of this Section.
5. Check that the switch is operating correctly.
