Carburetor engines — general description

The fuel system consists of a rear-mounted fuel tank, a mechanically driven camshaft driven fuel pump, and a two-barrel carburetor with automatic choke.

The intake manifold is heated with coolant to optimize the air-fuel mixture.

The exhaust manifold is cast iron and has an air duct heater as part of the air intake system.

The exhaust pipe consists of three sections, including a curved head section, a muffler and an expansion box. It is attached to rubber hangers under the car.

The air filter contains an automatically controlled hinged thermal air flap.
