1. Antifreeze in the coolant must be replaced evenly (see "Maintenance"). This is necessary not only to maintain the properties of the antifreeze, but also to prevent corrosion that can occur as corrosion inhibitors gradually become less effective.
2. Always use a good quality ethylene glycol antifreeze with corrosion inhibitors that does not contain methanol and is suitable for use in mixed metal cooling systems. Antifreeze must be mixed in the correct ratio with clean, soft water.
3. Before adding new antifreeze, it is necessary to completely drain the liquid and flush the cooling system, and also check the condition of all hoses.
4. The antifreeze to water ratio should be maintained at least 30/70% all year round. Recommended relationships and levels of protection are given in the Specifications.
5. After filling with antifreeze, attach a sign to the radiator indicating the type and concentration of antifreeze used and the date of filling. Any subsequent refilling must use the same type and concentration of antifreeze.
6. Do not use antifreeze in the windshield washer system as it will cause damage to the vehicle's paint.
