Seat Safety System — General Description

1. Driver's seat (Turbo models) equipped with inflatable air mats in the backrest and side pads, which are inflated by an electric air blower installed under the front seat. The pump is activated when one of the switches is in the on position.

2. To prevent damage, the air blower assembly has a safety valve, the pump motor has an automatic reset overload protection element consisting of a reverse current relay. If the pump stops while running, stop and wait at least 30 seconds for the reverse current relay to set before moving on.

3. The system is powered by the power window circuit.

4. If the system has false alarms, it is better to disconnect the air hoses where they are connected with metal clamps.

5. When using the seat safety system, pay attention to the following points:

• (A) Do not sit in the seat for a long time with the engine turned off; Large current draw can drain the battery if it is not recharged.
• (b) Do not operate the switches continuously for more than ten seconds; the pump may be damaged.
