Steering column — bulkhead

1. Remove the column as described in previous chapter.

2. Loosen the clamp and remove the bulkhead cover. Remove the seat belt buckle switch base.

3. Check the play between the column and the pipe.

4. Remove the retaining ring, washer and spring washer from the top end of the column and remove the column from the pipe.

5. Clean all components and check condition.

6. The tilt adjustment mechanism and the pivot axis can be removed if required. The tilt adjustment mechanism and the pivot axis can be removed if required. When assembling, install the spring correctly (photo) and lubricate the hinge bolt (and groove). Press the lever at an angle of 13 -16°from the closed position and tighten the bolt with the tightening force specified Specification. Don't forget to check the mechanism.



7. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
