Door latch
1. Open the door, close the window completely, then remove the door interior trim panel (see Chapter 33 of this Section).
2. Remove the protective polyethylene seal to expose the valve.
3. Disconnect the rods connecting the external (only at the front doors) and internal handles, internal lock button, lock cylinder (only at the front doors) and, if equipped, the central locking switch or actuator. Each link is secured with a spring clip, which must be removed before disconnecting the link.
4. Remove the valve mounting screws and remove the valve (see photo).

12. Remove the access plug to the handle mounting nut closest to the valve.
13. Unscrew the two handle mounting nuts, remove the lock cylinder and both gaskets, then remove the handle from the outside of the door.
14. Assembly is carried out in reverse order. Apply some grease to the tip and pivot points of the handle, then check its adjustment.
15. When the front outer door handle is correctly adjusted, it should have between 0.8 and 4.1 mm of play before it begins to lift the latch. The valve stroke to full opening should be from 12.8 to 16.1 mm. Adjustment is made by turning the plastic fastening nut in the valve with the end of the handle rod (see photo). The adjustment is made correctly when the play between the nut and the valve lever is from 0.5 to 2.5 mm (see fig. 11.16.)
