Door window glass and window lift regulator — removal and installation

Window glass

1. Open the door and remove the interior trim panel (see Chapter 33 of this Section).

2. Remove and disconnect the speaker.

3. Disconnect and remove (where is it equipped) Power window with power glass and armrest suspension (see photo).



4. Remove the polyethylene seal.

5. Lower the window regulator (on manual windows) or connect the window switch to the window servomotor (servo glass window), then lower the window until the mounting bolts appear in the door opening (see photo).



6. On the front doors, loosen the single bolt securing the bottom edge of the front panel (see photo).




7. On the rear doors, loosen the two bolts securing the lower edge of the rear panel (see photo).



8. Unscrew the window glass adjuster bolt and pull out the glass, tilting it so as to reach it from the doorway (see photo).




9. After the window glass on the rear doors has been removed, you can remove the triangular window; to do this, unscrew the bolt from the rear panel and remove the glass. The panel is secured with two bolts at the bottom edge and one screw at the top; through the door opening, remove the seal to gain access to the screw (see photo).



10. Assembly is carried out in reverse order. Lubricate the mechanism and adjust it.

Regulator

11. Remove the window glass as described above.

12. Remove the top of the regulator channel and the bottom mounting bolt (see photo).








13. On windows with a manual adjuster, remove the adjuster mechanism mounting bolts (see photo).




14. On power windows, disconnect the electrical wiring and remove the motor mounting bolts (see photo).







15. Remove the regulator assembly (see photo) from the door.



16. Assembly is carried out in reverse order. Lubricate the regulator and check the normal operation of the window regulator. Tighten all bolts securely.
