2. Remove the mat to access the opening lever, then remove the bolt and disconnect the cable (see photo).

3. Remove the rear seat pad (see Chapter 34 of this Section).
4. Using a lever, remove the mounting brackets and remove the floor mat to remove the cable.
5. Remove the left and rear luggage compartment trim panels (see Chapter 33), to give access to the flap and rear door/trunk lid strike plate (see photo).

6. Unscrew the lock nut from the inside of the flap (see Chapter 15), and remove the cable and opener assembly. Pull the cable through the luggage compartment, release the clamps and unscrew the bolt from the end of the suspension, then disconnect it from the shock plate.
7. Assembly is carried out in reverse order. Check the operation of the rear door lock and adjust if necessary (see paragraph 22).
8. The cable can be adjusted by loosening the end of the suspension mounting bolt and moving the suspension within the slotted holes until the correct play is obtained (see Chapter 22).
9. Please note that when the strike plate lever is in the position "Cancel'', then the opening lever does not operate and the lock can only be opened from the outside using a special key.
