Sensor location
Sensor (installed only on vehicles with a converter) screwed into the bottom of the gearbox housing on the right side.
Check, removal and installation
1. Disconnect the connector at the top of the crankcase and check the continuity between the sensor leads.
2. The sensor contacts must be closed only when the lever is in neutral position.
3. Otherwise, check the wiring.
4. If the wiring is good, replace the sensor.
5. To remove the sensor, lift the rear of the car and place it on stands, drain the oil from the gearbox.
6. Disconnect the sensor connector from the harness side.
7. Unscrew the sensor.
8. Clean the crankcase threads and lubricate the threads of the new sensor with sealant.
9. Screw in the sensor.
10. Tighten the sensor and attach the connector.
11. Lower the car, fill in the oil in the checkpoint.
