Removing
1. Remove the checkpoint (see subsection 9.1).
2. Remove the release bearing by removing the brackets.
3. Knock out the pins (indicated by arrows) and remove the fork from the axle.
4. Mark the orientation of the spring, remove the lever, fork and spring.
Examination
1. Check the condition of parts, replace worn parts.
2. Knock out the axle bushing and replace.
3. Replace the release bearing at the slightest sign of damage.
Installation
1. Lubricate the friction surfaces of the axle with refractory grease.
2. Install the fork arm in place.
3. Install the fork and spring, push the lever all the way in.
4. Align fork holes and press in new pins.
5. Install staples (indicated by arrows), lightly grease the shaft and bearing.
6. Install the bearing so that the brackets engage with the fork.
7. Check the free movement of the fork on the axle.
8. Install the checkpoint.
