Attention! Don't apply too much sealant, be extra careful near the bolt holes. The parts must be assembled together within 5 minutes after applying the sealant. After this time has elapsed, the sealant must be removed and reapplied.
Removing
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Attention! This erases the electronic memory, for example, the engine fault memory or the radio code. Before disconnecting the battery, read the instructions in subsection 7.2.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the engine underbody protection.
4. Drain the engine oil.
5. Remove the center beam.
6. Remove the muffler intake pipe.
7. Unscrew bolts of fastening of the pallet crankcase.
8. Drive a wedge into the seal between the cylinder block and sump (arrows indicate the location of the seals). In workshops, the KV-10111100 tool is used for this, which is driven in between the cylinder block and the oil pan.
9. If there is no fixture, you can use an old knife. Carefully drive the knife between the block and the pallet with a hammer.
Attention! Never pry off the pan with a screwdriver or chisel without first cutting the seal. When removing, make sure that the sealing surface of the oil pan is not damaged.
10. Remove the oil pan.
11. It is recommended to remove the mesh filter with the pan removed and clean the filter with a cold cleaner.
12. Check mesh for damage, e.g. breaks, replace if necessary.
Installation
1. Carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the sump and block from seal residues using a triangular scraper and a razor blade.
2. Gently wipe the block, crankshaft mechanism and oil pump. Otherwise, oil will drip onto the sump seal.
3. Screw on the mesh filter with a new gasket with a force of 20 Nm.
4. Degrease and dry mating surfaces of the sump and cylinder block. Alcohol or acetone can be used as a cleaner.
Attention! Do not use cleaners that corrode the varnish surface.
5. Insert new gaskets into both semi-circular recesses of the oil pan and coat the ends on both sides with a sealing agent.
6. Apply sealant in a 4-5 mm wide strip around the entire perimeter of the oil pan sealing surface. At the same time, apply a bead of sealant between the bolt holes in the groove (1) pallet. For bolt holes (2) apply a bead of sealant to the inside of the pan at a distance of 7 mm.
7. Install the oil pan to the cylinder block. Tighten the bolts first by hand, then crosswise (1 to 15) with a force of 8 Nm.
Attention! Wait 30 minutes before adding oil for the sealant to cure.
8. Install the muffler downpipe.
9. Install the center beam.
10. Install the engine underbody protection.
11. Lower the car.
12. Fill with engine oil.
13. Connect the battery ground cable.
14. If yes, set the time on the clock and enter the radio's security code.
15. Carry out a test drive, check the oil level and the tightness of the sump seal, if necessary, carefully tighten all the bolts.
