Removing
1. Drain as much gasoline as possible before removing the fuel tank. It is advisable to empty the tank on a trip, as a drain plug is not provided.
2. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
3. Raise the rear of the car and place on stands.
4. Disconnect the filler neck from the body.
5. Disconnect fuel hoses.
6. Put a support under the tank (preferably a cart with a jack).
7. Loosen the front heat shield bolts (if provided).
8. Disconnect the connector from the fuel sensor.
9. Loosen the tank mounting bolts.
10. Lower the tank slowly, disconnecting the vent tubes as you access them.
11. Remove the tank, mark and remove the rubber pads.
12. Rinse tank and inspect.
13. The tank is one-piece, made of plastic, so if damage is found, it must be replaced.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
2. Check the correct laying of all hoses, make sure that there are no pinches.
3. Check for fuel leaks before driving.
