Air should be removed from the hydraulic drive if bubbles appear in the tank, when clicks and increased noise are heard during pump operation.
When the steering wheel is turned slowly or in a straight line, the operation of the hydraulic drive is accompanied by a hissing sound, the appearance of which is not a reason for pumping the hydraulic drive.
1. Raise the front of the car and place on stands.
2. Check and, if necessary, restore the fluid level in the tank.
3. Ask an assistant to turn the steering wheel in both directions until it stops and watch the fluid level.
4. Top up if the level drops.
5. Repeat these steps until the level stops dropping. Otherwise, there is a leak in the system.
6. Start the engine and repeat the procedure.
7. Lower the vehicle after the level has stabilized.
