Removing
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. On carbureted engines, the booster can be removed without removing the intake manifold or master cylinder.
3. On injection engines, the intake manifold must be removed to gain access to the booster.
4. On carbureted engines, remove the air filter (see subsection 6.1.2).
5. Disconnect the wires from the power steering pressure sensor, remove the power steering hose bracket.
6. Remove the master cylinder from the vacuum booster.
7. Disconnect the hose from the vacuum booster.
8. Disconnect the pusher from the pedal and unscrew the four nuts securing the bracket to the amplifier.
9. Remove the amplifier from the side of the engine compartment.
Attention! Do not damage the threads of the brake booster studs.
Installation
1. The amplifier is installed in reverse order.
2. Before installing, check the protrusion of the pusher above the surface of the amplifier housing.
3. On vehicles without ABS, adjust the position of the master cylinder tappet to dimension A.
4. Manifold and master cylinder are installed according to c subsection 6.2.14 and subsection 11.10.
5. When finished, adjust the brake pedal.
