Removing
1. Raise the rear of the car and place on stands.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Release the handbrake cable sheath, disconnect the cable from the lever on the caliper.
4. To reduce fluid loss, tightly wrap the tank cap by laying a plastic film, or pinch the hoses.
5. Clean the ring fitting of the hose and unscrew the bolt, plug the holes.
6. Remove two gaskets.
7. Remove pads.
8. Loosen the caliper upper pin bolt.
9. Remove the caliper from the bracket.
10. If necessary, you can remove the caliper bracket from the trunnion.
Disassembly
1. Carefully clean the caliper.
2. Get fingers for heads of bolts which screw in fingers.
3. Remove the rubber finger covers.
4. Turn out (rotate counterclockwise) and remove the piston from the cylinder.
5. Remove the cover.
6. Compress the cylinder spring by pressing on the cap and remove the circlip from the cylinder groove.
7. Gradually releasing the spring, remove the snap ring, cap, spring, lock plate, pusher and spacer.
8. Remove the cylinder seal with a wooden stick.
9. Unhook the spring from the handbrake lever, unscrew the nut and remove the lever from the caliper.
10. Wash all parts in clean brake fluid or alcohol.
11. All seals and covers must be replaced.
12. Check the condition of the caliper, especially carefully inspect the piston and the inner surface of the cylinder, replace worn parts. The caliper or caliper bracket are not supplied separately as spare parts.
13. Minor defects on the cylinder are eliminated by polishing with fine sandpaper, while the piston with the same defects must be replaced. The piston must not be polished.
14. Check the condition of the threads on the caliper fingers, there should be no play in the fingers in the caliper.
15. Blow out the brake fluid passages.
16. Before assembly, check the cleanliness of all parts.
17. Put a new cover on the eccentric of the hand brake lever.
18. Install the spring, washer and tighten the nut.
19. Lubricate the eccentric with brake fluid and install on the caliper.
20. Make sure that when turning the lever, the groove in the eccentric is aligned with the hole in the pusher.
21. Put on the lever spring.
22. Dip a new cylinder seal in the fluid and install in the cylinder groove.
23. Put a new o-ring on the pusher and lubricate the spacer and pusher with rubber oil.
24. Install all parts in the caliper.
25. Install the lock plate so that the groove is on the flat part of the pushrod and the bulge is aligned with the recess in the caliper.
26. Install the snap ring.
27. Install the spring and cap, compress the spring and install the circlip.
28. Lubricate the edge of the cylinder boot with rubber oil and put on the piston.
29. Lubricate the piston and cylinder walls in the caliper with brake fluid, screw the piston into the cylinder, turning it clockwise.
30. Put the second edge of the cover on the caliper.
31. Put new covers on the caliper pins.
32. Replace the rubber bushing on the top pin.
33. Lubricate the fingers with brake fluid before installing in the caliper.
Installation
1. Install the caliper bracket on the trunnion, tighten the bolts.
2. Install the caliper, lubricate the threads of the upper pin bolt with locking compound and tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
3. Install pads.
4. Check the freedom of movement of the caliper in the bracket.
5. Connect the hose by installing two gaskets and tightening the ring fitting bolt.
6. Attach the handbrake cable to the lever, install the bracket. On parts of cars, insert the cable sheath into the bracket, and align the protrusion on the bracket with the recess on the caliper body.
7. Remove the plastic seal from the tank cap (or remove hose clamps).
8. Bleed air from hydraulic wheel brake (if the integrity of other circuits was not violated).
9. Press the brake pedal several times.
10. Install the wheels, lower the car.
11. Before leaving, check the operation of the brakes.
