Hood lock cable — removal and installation

1. Open the hood.

2. Carefully move the front grille and remove the cable from the brackets.

3. Loosen the three bolts and remove the lock.

4. Pull the spring and disconnect the cable from the lock lever.

5. On a part of cars turn out a bracket of fastening of a cable.

6. From the passenger compartment, unscrew the screw of the side decorative panel in the niche of the driver's feet. Get a latch and disconnect a sealant from an edge of the panel, get the panel.

7. Loosen the two screws and remove the lever.

8. Remove the cable from the brackets and pull it into the engine compartment. To facilitate assembly, it is recommended to fasten a rope along the cable route. On some cars, to access the cable, you will need to remove and put aside some parts.

9. The cable is installed in reverse order. When finished, check the operation of the lock.
