Removing
1. Drain the automatic transmission oil.
2. Remove the oil pan and gasket.
3. Disconnect the automatic transmission intermediate wiring connector.
4. Remove the circlip from the connector housing. Press the connector housing with your finger towards the gearbox and remove it.
5. Turn off adjusting bolts of a valvate box and remove it.
6. Remove the valve box from the gearbox.
7. Remove the range valve from the valve box.
Caution: Do not drop the range valve.
8. Remove the return spring from the S/R accumulator piston.
9. Blow out the hole shown in the figure with compressed air and remove the S/R accumulator piston from the transaxle case.
Attention:
The accumulator piston may suddenly pop out, so hold it with a rag.
Wrap the removed piston with a paper towel.
10. Remove the O-ring from the S/R accumulator piston.
11. Blow out the hole shown in the figure with compressed air and remove the ND accumulator piston from the gearbox housing.

The accumulator piston may suddenly pop out, so hold it with a rag.
Wrap the removed piston with a paper towel.
12. Remove the O-ring from the ND accumulator piston.
Examination
Check the contact surfaces of each valve and valve box for nicks and damage.
Check the friction surfaces of each accumulator piston and gearbox housing for scoring and damage.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Install accumulator pistons with new O-rings.
Replace with new oil pan fixing bolts and tighten to 6.9-8.8 Nm (0.7-0.9 kgm).
