EGR valve — check and removal

Examination

Check the resistance between tracks 1-2, 2-3, 4-5, 5-6 of the valve.

• Resistance: Approx. 22 kΣ (at 20°C)

Removing

1. Remove the EGR pipe.

2. Disconnect the two water hoses and install plugs to prevent coolant from escaping.

3. Remove the two mounting bolts that also secure the thermostat housing and wiring bracket.

4. Remove the EGR valve.
