Note: The camshafts on this engine are different from conventional DOHC. The following abbreviations are used in this section.
- Right camshaft: camshaft located on the intake manifold side (from the back of the car).
- Left camshaft: camshaft located on the exhaust manifold side (from the front of the car).
The location of the intake and exhaust valves is shown in the figure (cams for intake and exhaust valves are alternately located on each camshaft).
