(1) Find the diameter class of the connecting rod journals from the front side of the crankshaft (0, 1 or 2) and select connecting rod bearings of the same grade.
Note: There is no class division for the inside diameter of the big end of the connecting rod.
When the crankshaft and connecting rod are reused
(1) Measure the inner diameters of the large connecting rod heads and make sure they are correct.
(2) Measure the outer diameters of the connecting rod journals of the crankshaft.
(3) According to the measurements obtained from the table (column «Outer diameter of connecting rod journal») select a connecting rod bearing of the appropriate grade.

Guidelines for the use of reduced oversize connecting rod bearings
If the specified oil clearance cannot be achieved with standard size connecting rod bearings, use undersized bearings.
When using undersized bearings, measure the bearing inside diameter on the installed bearing and regrind the crankpin so that the oil clearance is correct.

Caution: When regrinding crankpins for undersized bearings, keep rounded corners on all crankpins.
