2. Separate the engine from the gearbox and place the engine on a stand (special tool) (see section «Cylinder block»).
3. Remove the following parts.
Upper and lower oil pans (see section «Oil pan and coarse oil filter»).
Remove oil filter bracket (see section «Oil filter bracket» in chapter «Lubrication system and engine cooling system»).
Remove the high pressure fuel pipes (see section «High pressure fuel pipes and injectors assy»).
4. Remove the secondary timing chain and related parts (see section «Secondary timing chain»),
5. If the rear cover of the chain is removed, remove the camshaft sprockets (see section «camshafts»).
6. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
Shoot in the following order.
(1) Lock the crankshaft pulley with a pulley lock (special tool).
(2) Loosen the crankshaft pulley set bolt and loosen about 10 mm.
(3) With a puller (special tool) remove the crankshaft pulley.
To hold the crankshaft pulley, use two M6 bolts, approximately 60 mm long.
7. Remove the oil pump.
Loosen the mounting bolts in the reverse order shown in the figure.
Remove with cutter (special tool).
8. Remove the front oil seal from the oil pump.
Knock out the oil seal with a screwdriver from the back of the oil pump.
Attention: Do not damage the oil pump.
9. Remove the chain tensioner.
Press the plunger of the chain tensioner and secure it with the pin.
10. Remove the timing chain guide at the point of deflection.
11. Fix the injection pump sprocket and unscrew the mounting bolts.
(1) Insert the locking pin into the 6 mm hole in the injection pump sprocket.
(2) Slowly turn the injection pump shaft using the TORX wrench (special tool), adjust the position of the hole in the injection pump sprocket.
(3) Lock the injection pump sprocket by inserting the mounting stopper (special tool) inside the injection pump housing.
12. Remove the primary timing chain along with the injection pump sprocket and crankshaft sprocket.
13. Remove chain guides (total 3 pcs.).
14. Remove the injection pump.
15. Remove the steering pump.
16. Remove the rear chain cover.
Loosen and remove the set screws in the reverse order shown in the figure.
