Crankshaft runout

Place the prisms on a flat surface and install the crankshaft on them with the outer journals.

Vertically install the indicator on the root neck No. 3.

Turning the crankshaft, read the indicator readings.

Crankshaft runout = ½ maximum indicator reading.
