Installing a thermostat
Install the rubber ring on the thermostat flange without distortion.
Install the thermostat with a bypass valve (labeled TOR) up.
Thermostat check
Tie a thread to the thermostat valve. Immerse the thermostat in a container of water. Start heating the water.
The valve opening temperature is the temperature at which the valve opens and falls off the string.
While heating the water, check the valve lift at full opening.
- Standard valve opening temperature: 82±2°C
- Standard lift height at full opening: above 10mm/95°C
- Standard valve closing temperature: 77°C
